LASACO Assurance Plc is a Nigeria-based insurance company. The Company is principally engaged in the provision of various classes of insurance, such as general accident, fire, motor, engineering, marine, bond insurance and life assurance businesses. The Company also transacts insurance business for aviation, oil and gas and other special risks. Its Non-Life segment covers the protection of customers assets (particularly their properties, both for personal and commercial business) and indemnification of other parties that have suffered damage as a result of customer accidents. All contracts in this segment are short-term in nature. Its Life segment covers the protection of the Company's customers against the risk of premature death, disability, critical illness, and other accidents. Its business portfolio includes leadership and share of Federal and State Governments insurance businesses, multinational and private companies underwriting businesses in various sectors of the economy.
