Business Description

Geregu Power PLC is a Nigeria-based power generation company. The Company is principally engaged in the business of electric power generation and sale of electric power through the National Grid of the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) to the Nigerian Bulk Electricity Trading PLC (NBET). The power plant consists of three simple cycle natural gas-fired SIEMENS V94.2 STG5-2000E gas turbine (GT) generator units with an approximately 435 megawatt (MW) installed capacity. The turbine units are GT11, GT12, and GT13; each is designed to produce 145 MW at 15.75 kilovolt-amperes (KV), stepped up to 330KV through a 173.6 megavolt-amperes (MVA) Power Transformer and generates on average 10% of Nigeria’s power. The Company’s plant operation is at Itobe - Ajaokuta Expressway, Ajaokuta, Kogi State. The Company is owned and operated by Amperion Power Distribution Company Limited.
