BVMAC
LA REGIONALE EPARGNE CREDIT · REG
La Regionale Epargne et Credit is a Cameroonian financial institution that originated as a savings and credit organization and built its market position around microfinance and local financial access. Its activities include collecting savings, granting consumer, housing, rural and small-business credit, prefinancing contracts, and providing national and international transfer services, electronic solutions, micro-insurance, investment products and special programs. BVMAC describes the institution as a category-two microfinance operator created in 1993 and a leading microfinance player in Cameroon, with a broad domestic agency network and a large client base. The company used its 2021 BVMAC capital increase and share sale to reinforce capital ahead of a planned transformation into a universal bank. Its business model depends on deposit mobilization, credit risk management and demand for financial services from households, SMEs and underserved clients.
