The Project to strengthen social cohesion (PRECOS), which was designed in a participatory manner with beneficiaries and local stakeholders and taking into account the interventions of the other partners mentioned above, will be implemented in the five municipalities affected by the terrorist attacks in the savannah region. PRECOS is to support the Government's efforts in restoring social cohesion and improving social inclusion. The program contributes to achieving the results of axes 1 and 2 of the FRG 2025 and is part of the strategies and action plans of the national development program (2018-2022). PRECOS contributes to financing the Savanes region emergency program (PURS) which was developed by the Government to strengthen the resilience of populations after the first terrorist attacks. The project will have synergy with the actions of other actors, notably: (i) UNICEF in the field of water and sanitation with the pre-positioning of emergency stocks such as water tarpaulins, tents, housing kits, hygiene kits; and (ii) Plan International Togo in the area of food security and the empowerment of young people and women through support for the structuring, provision of production kits and monitoring support for cooperatives. The project will be implemented through four (4) components, namely: (i) improving access of displaced populations to drinking water and hygiene services; (ii) building community capacities for sustainable income-generating activities and food security; (iii) strengthening the security and administration of the territory; (iv) institutional support and project management.
