The Support to TVET for Value Chain Development Project aims to increase access to quality middle-level technical skills training for South Sudan youth to promote their participation in agricultural value chain development and employability. Thus, the Project will help increase the availability of specialized skills in agriculture value chain development in the labour market. The focus is on improving skills development infrastructure and strengthening TVET coordination, governance, and quality systems. The Project will ensure alignment to the skills needs including food safety and standards, agricultural extension services, etc under AMVAT. The project will also contribute to South Sudan’s competitiveness by contributing to improved quality of its products in conformity with standards for trade both at regional and international levels. The project components include: (i) Skills for value chain development, (ii) TVET sub-sector and institutional capacity building, and (iii) Project management. The project contributes to climate finance, with 5 million USD of the total approved amount dedicated to adaptation.
