Price history

Cocoa Processing Company Ltd is a Ghanaian cocoa processor and confectionery manufacturer. The company processes raw cocoa beans into semi-finished products such as cocoa liquor, cocoa butter, cocoa cake and cocoa powder, while its confectionery operations manufacture chocolate bars, chocolate spreads, drinking chocolate, couverture, cocoa powder and other branded products. Its well-known Golden Tree portfolio links the company to Ghana's identity as a major cocoa-producing country and to domestic value addition in the cocoa chain. CPC's business model relies on raw cocoa bean supply, processing capacity, quality control, export and domestic demand, working capital, energy costs and the ability to market branded chocolate and cocoa products locally and abroad. The company gives investors exposure to agro-processing and consumer confectionery rather than cocoa farming itself. Profitability is sensitive to cocoa input costs, currency movements, plant utilization, debt levels, export pricing and competition from international processors and confectionery brands.
