Business Description
Bindura Nickel Corporation Limited is a Zimbabwe-based company that is engaged in the mining of nickel and the extraction of related by-products (copper and cobalt). The Company's main product is nickel concentrates, which contain nickel sulphide. The main uses of nickel are the production of stainless steel and battery cathode. It has nickel resources across Zimbabwe under mining, processing, and exploration assets, which include Trojan Mine, Shangani Mine, the BSR facility, Hunters Road Project, Damba-Silwane as well as the Trojan Hill and Kingstone Hill Projects. Collectively, these resources amounts contain approximately 72.5 million tons of ore, at an average grade of 0.60%, containing approximately 434.8 kilotons of nickel. Its subsidiary, Trojan Nickel Mine Limited (TNML), has two mines, which are Trojan Mine and Shangani Mine. TNML produces approximately 400,000 tons of ore and 5,500 tons of nickel in concentrate per annum respectively.
