Business Description
Zambia Forestry and Forest Industries Corporation PLC is a forestry company. The principal activity of the Company is the establishment and management of timber plantations from which roundwood, and other timber products are produced for sale. It establishes and manages pine and eucalyptus plantations as well as harvest and commercially process timber for supply to the local and foreign markets. The Company manages approximately 54,482 hectares of Pine and Eucalyptus Plantations in the Copperbelt, Luapula, Muchinga, Northern and North-Western Provinces. It also operates a Pole Treatment Plant, which is located in Kalulushi in the Copperbelt Province, and produces about 140,000 treated poles per year. Its products include pine roundwood, eucalyptus roundwood, pine seedlings, eucalyptus seedlings and creosote treated poles. Its plantations include Chati, Ichimpe, Lamba, Ndola, Kawambwa, Nakonde, Shiwang’andu, Kasama, Lupososhi, Kalumbila and Mushindamo.
