Santam Limited (Santam) is a general insurer in South Africa. It operates through three segments: Conventional, Alternative Risk Transfer, and Santam’s share of SEM general insurance businesses. The Conventional has six business units, which include Santam Broker Solutions, Santam Client Solutions, Santam Partner Solutions, Santam Specialist Solutions, MiWay and Santam Re. The Alternative Risk Transfer has two business units, Centriq, and Santam Structured Insurance. Its portfolio of insurance products includes car, property, liability, engineering, agricultural insurance, guest house insurance, tourism, leisure and entertainment and reinsurance insurance. Its agriculture insurance products include crop insurance, asset insurance, and weather insurance. In addition, it provides claim, brokerage and SOS services to its customers. It also offers an online marketplace for home services that enables consumers to connect with, compare and hire professionals across hundreds of service types.
