Tunisia - Project to support Integration of the tree in degraded private farmland

The project aligns with Tunisia's commitment at the Dakar 2 Summit, which focused on food sovereignty and resilience in African countries. It also plugs into the Paris Climate Agreement and Goal 7 of the African Union Agenda 2063 which envisages environmentally sustainable and climate-resilient economies and communities. The project further consolidates the outcomes of the Bank Group's operations in Tunisia and represents an opportunity and added value for the Bank to illustrate its unique experience in implementing SCF/FIP-financed projects in several African countries. This project primely contributes towards climate adaptation result. As such 100% of the total approval is attributed as climate finance, out of which 100% is adaptation finance.
