Description

The Bank is aiming to consolidate and scale up its current investments in the agriculture sector in South Sudan by supporting the CRAFT-1. Thus, the programme will build on the ongoing active agriculture portfolio of Bank-supported projects in South Sudan. These include Building Resilience for Food and Nutrition Security in the Horn of Africa (BREFONS), Africa Disaster Risk Financing Programme (ADRiFi); Strengthening Emergency Preparedness Response to Food Crisis (SEPAREF); South Sudan Emergency Food Production Programme (SSEFPP); Agricultural Markets, Value Addition, and Trade Development Project (AMVAT), Livelihood Support programme and Support to TVET for Value Chain Development. The project will similarly build on the existing entrepreneurship portfolio supported by the Bank. This project primely contributes towards climate adaptation result. As such 100% of the total approval is attributed as climate finance, out of which 100% is adaptation finance.
