Sierra Leone - Preparatory Studies for Sierra Leone Rural Electricity Access Project (SLREAP)

The proposed project is consistent with the Medium-term National Development Plan (MTNDP, 2024– 2030). The proposed project directly supports three key energy sector objectives of the Government outlined in the MTNDP: (a) electrification of all district headquarters which is a key element of the country’s electrification strategy; (b) increasing rural electrification through engagement and involvement of key stakeholders including private sector; and (c) improving the financial performance of the sector for sustainable development.
