Strengthening the wastewater and stormwater drainage system in Thiès

The overall objective of this project is to improve the living environment of the people of the commune of Thiès. To this end, the project is divided into several areas: - collection, disposal and treatment of wastewater; - collection of rainwater drained to the identified outlets; - improvement of urban mobility with a densely-damaged road network; - the project will finally solve the problem of sanitation of these localities by proposing a separative system of sewage/rainwater through the establishment of a complete sanitation network and the strengthening of the existing drainage system; - the project will meet the need for hygiene and sanitation, the safety of the targeted populations in an area which is experiencing a fulgurant development of real estate and the preservation of water resources.
