Construction, Financing and Equipment of Four Agricultural Vocational Schools — Senegal

Senegal · Thies, Louga, Tambacounda and Matam · Education and training

Overview

The project concerns the construction, financing and equipment of four agricultural vocational schools in Senegal. The official public-private partnership portfolio at 30 June 2025 provides for an average capacity of 2,400 learners and a 100-hectare site for each school. Estimated investment cost is CFAF72 billion.

Earlier PPP portfolio publications locate the schools in Thies, Louga, Tambacounda and Matam. The project is structured as a Private Initiative Offer for Delivery and remains in category P1. At 30 June 2025, its official procedural status was awaiting authorisation to launch.

More recent institutional sources from December 2025 onward refer to a programme of six vocational schools in agriculture and agri-food. Public documents do not formally state whether that programme replaces, expands or is legally distinct from the four-school PPP entry. This page therefore retains the officially documented four-school perimeter.

Financing

Published investment cost for the four-school perimeter is CFAF72 billion. The PPP entry identifies a Private Initiative Offer for Delivery structure but does not disclose secured financing, an amount to be raised or any allocation among debt, equity, public financing or other instruments for this specific perimeter.

BOAD approvals and Senegalese budget allocations published from December 2025 relate to a six-school programme. They are not counted as secured financing for this four-school entry because the reviewed institutional sources do not formally reconcile the two perimeters.
