Overview

The project covers the design, financing, construction, operation and maintenance of a Craft Trades Service Centre in Ziguinchor. It includes a production unit serving woodworking, metalworking, tailoring, shoemaking and tanning, together with training, exhibition and performance spaces and a restaurant.

The project is included in Senegal's portfolio of projects potentially suitable for public-private partnership. At 30 June 2025, its estimated cost was CFAF 2.5 billion and it was classified P2. UNAPPP had issued a favourable opinion on the project sheet and the preliminary assessment remained to be completed.

UNAPPP states that at 31 December 2025, P2 projects were those for which feasibility studies or information gathering were underway to prepare the preliminary-assessment report. The institutional publication reviewed does not provide a more recent individual update for the Ziguinchor centre.
