The proposed Project is complementary to the first Sectoral Sub-Programme on Drinking Water Supply and Sanitation (PSEPA) of the Central African Republic, initially adopted in 2012, then restructured following the crisis that occurred in March 2013. The interventions concerned by this Additional Project are in continuity with the first sub-programme and go beyond the urban area. They are structured around three components: (i) Capacity building (logistics, training and consultants) of the ANEA, DGH, PSEPA and DGEES branches, as well as those of local actors and beneficiaries, particularly in training, awareness-raising and small trades; (ii) Development of drinking water and sanitation infrastructures; and (iii) Management of the additional project. The targeted areas are: Mambéré Kadéï, Nana Mambéré and Ouham, three prefectures with extreme poverty levels.
