Description

The Second Phase of Support to the National Agricultural Growth Scheme – Agro-Pocket (NAGS 2.0) is a results-based financing programme approved for the Federal Republic of Nigeria to reinforce national food and nutrition security. The programme has a total cost of USD 200 million, financed entirely through an African Development Bank (ADB) sovereign loan. Implemented by the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, NAGS 2.0 builds on the achievements of the first phase and supports the operationalisation of Nigeria’s National Agricultural Technology and Innovation Policy (NATIP 2022–2027), using a digital Agro-Pocket platform to deliver quality agricultural inputs and services to farmers nationwide.
