Description

The project aims to support Transaction Advisory Services for development of the Otjiwarongo Municipality Wastewater Treatment Plant (OMWWTP), associated infrastructure and a Waste to Energy Project. The MIC TAF Grant shall be used to finance the engagement of a Transactions Advisor and an ESIA/ESMP and RAP consultant to assist the Otjiwarongo Municipality to assess the feasibility of the project, preparing tender documentation for competitive bidding and provision of advisory services during the bidding process until financial close of the Project. The Government and the Otjiwarongo Municipality therefore wish to explore the feasibility of implementing this project as a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) in accordance with Public Private Partnership Act (No. 4 of 2017) and Namibia PPP Guidance Manual (2013). The Technical Assistance will be implemented over a period of 30 months between January 2023 and June 2025 following approval by the Bank. The total study cost is estimated at UA 1,325,213.45, net of taxes and duties.
