Description

The project consists the upliftment of historical buildings within the area of the Aapravasi Ghat World Heritage property namely the Ex-Rice Store and the Cerné Docks to house a ‘Galerie d'Arts Nationale’ and an Interpretation Centre on the history of Indentured Labourer. These projects will enhance the cultural, heritage and historical significance of the corridor alongside the Aapravasi Ghat, Intercontinental Slavery Museum and the Mauritius Postal Museum.
