The Project for the Sustainable and the Securisation Access to Water (PPSAE) is implemented in Guercif, Zagora, Al Hoceima, Tangier and Béni Mellal Provinces. It is designed on the basis of the priority needs identified by ONEE-Water Branch as part of its investment programme for the period (2016-2020). It aims to meet the growing need for drinking water and industrial water in these areas until 2040. The project is designed to secure access to drinking water in urban centres and in the rural areas of the regions concerned. With a total cost estimated at UA 194 million, it will be completed over a 60-month period. The main components of the project are: (i) strengthening the water supply system in urban and rural areas; (ii) technical support, procurement audit and (iii) project management.
