Description

This intervention concerns the Post-COVID-19 Skills Development and Productivity Enhancement Project (PSDPEP). It aims to contribute to Ghana’s Post-Covid-19 recovery. It is a skills development project that focuses on infrastructure improvements in higher education for the health sector, technical and entrepreneurial skills, and public communication on health and MSMEs public communication. The project will assess the nature of individual disabilities and ensure that the appropriate skills and competences are provided. It will also enhance women’s access to credit and financial literacy and information sharing and contribute to supporting the formalization of mostly existing women’s MSMEs. The Project will have two interrelated technical components and one on project management. They are: (i) skills development in higher education to strengthen the health sector, (ii) rebuilding youths’ and women’s livelihoods through entrepreneurship and employment creation. The project primely contributes towards climate Adaptation result. As such 60% of the total approval is attributed as climate finance, out of which 16 million USD is adaptation finance.
