The Total Project Cost of the AMD4J amount to UA 49.9mln. This is composed of the participations of the Government of Ethiopia with UA 4.67 mln, ADF-16 grant of UA 32.23 million, and UA7.52million from the Development Bank of Ethiopia (DBE) as well as parallel financing from donor resources: the Women Entrepreneurs Finance Initiative (WeFI) trust fund with UA 1.5mln; the Global Center for Adaptation (GCA) with UA 0.23 mln and cofinancing from local participating financial institutions (PFIs) estimated at UA 3.76 mln. To scale up the operation, the Bank is mobilizing additional parallel co-financing from Development partners to fill the gap between the planned ADF-16 resources and the target size of the AMD4J. The project contributes to climate finance, with 17 million USD of the total approved amount dedicated to adaptation.
